WHAT IS REVIVAL HUB?

Simply put, we list every repertory film screening happening in Los Angeles. Screenings at your favorite theaters, drive-ins, outdoor venues, etc. are now in one convenient place. We promise to have the most comprehensive database of screenings available so you never have to feel out of the loop again.

WHY DID WE START?

Several years ago, I began attending repertory screenings in the Hollywood area, but I knew I wasn't aware of screenings that were happening in other parts of the city...

That's when I decided to track down every venue that had repertory and alternative programming in Los Angeles. I was stunned by the huge number of venues and their various promotional methods (or lack thereof), and I quickly realized that keeping track of all these screenings was a difficult and time-consuming task.

WHY BOTHER?

We want to support independent venues that are dedicated to reviving films on the big screen. They cater to an audience that loves curated cinema as much as (or more than) the latest blockbuster.

Likewise, we want to serve the moviegoers that love seeing great films in theaters regardless of when or where they were made.

MEET THE TEAM

Chandler - Founder

In 2017, from a Hollywood assistant desk, Chandler slowly built Revival Hub while his boss wasn’t looking. Five years later, you can find him in his home office editing a short film, watching film essays on YouTube, or posting yet another screening to the Revival Hub calendar.

Josh - LA Screenings

Josh previously worked as a film critic for years before finding his place in cinema events & exhibition. Dreaming of opening his own theater someday, he currently fuels that passion by working for Secret Movie Club (social media, community outreach, etc.) and volunteers for Revival Hub.

Becca - Social Media

Becca recently moved from Chicago to LA and works in, writes about, and watches film. You can find her most often at the Los Feliz Theatre, Billy Wilder Theater, and Braindead Studios.

Tim - PDX Lead

Tim Halbur makes museum audio tours for a living and is obsessive about food, beer, music, and of course, movies. You can find him at letterboxd.com/thalbur/
